Junior Sister/Charge Nurse – Emergency Department

This is a Band 6 permanent vacancy for experienced registered staff with Emergency Department or Emergency medicine experience.
Applicants should have 4 years post‑registration experience, including at least 2 years in an ED, strong communication skills, and a willingness to work in a dynamic and challenging environment.
Responsibilities
You will join a motivated team of Band 7 and Band 6 staff who work as part of a cohesive unit, utilizing their own initiative to manage the department on a daily basis and oversee dedicated registered staff and healthcare assistants.
Opportunities exist to develop personal practice and gain further experience in all aspects of emergency care, including advanced practice, with support from the department’s Clinical Practice Educators.
Qualifications – Education & Experience
- Registered Nurse or AHP
- Evidence of CPD
- Teaching qualification
- ALS/ATLS/APLS or equivalent
- Working towards or completion of a relevant speciality qualification
- 4 years post‑registration experience, with previous ED experience in an acute hospital setting
- Understanding of professional nursing issues and ability to practice as a proficient practitioner
- Evidence of effective working relationships with colleagues, patients, and visitors
- Demonstrated time‑management, leadership, and clinical governance skills
- Special interest or clinical audit experience and evidence of critical appraisal skills

Salary
£39,959 to £48,117 a year (Pro Rata Per Annum)
UKVI Sponsorship
This role is eligible for sponsorship under the Skilled Worker route, subject to UKVI eligibility criteria.
