Our client is seeking a hands‑on Site Facilities Engineer to join their team in Cramlington. This is a key role responsible for ensuring the safe, reliable, and compliant operation of all site facilities, utilities, and infrastructure, supporting business continuity and operational excellence.
This position will suit a practical, electrically qualified engineer who enjoys being on the tools, while also taking ownership of compliance, contractor management, and continuous improvement.
What you'll be doing
- Carrying out planned and reactive maintenance on site facilities and utilities, including compressors, boilers, chillers, HVAC, and building services
- Responding to breakdowns effectively, prioritising tasks to minimise downtime
- Ensuring all statutory inspections and preventive maintenance activities are completed on schedule and fully documented
- Taking responsibility for health, safety, and environmental compliance, working in line with legislation and company procedures
- Managing on‑site contractors, including inductions, permits to work, and safe systems of work
- Liaising with suppliers and manufacturers for parts, repairs, and technical support
- Identifying and delivering energy‑saving and efficiency improvement projects
- Maintaining accurate and compliant maintenance records and documentation
- Continuously reviewing and optimising preventive maintenance strategies
