Excellent opportunity to lead the fabrication department within a rapidly growing business. Make your own mark and implement your own ideas.

Salary: £50,000 to £55,000 per annum, 25 days holiday + banks, performance bonus, sick pay. Flexible hours across the day shift.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the fabrication processes ensuring products are delivered to specification and standards.
• Manage the team of 10, supporting development and training where required.
• Introduce new processes to improve efficiency within the fabrication team.
• Ensure quality remains high and health & safety procedures are adhered to.
• Work with IT packages to manage workflow and oversee fabrication tasks (e.g. nesting using Lantek).

Qualifications

• Experience working within the steel/heavy fabrication sector.
• Proven management or supervisory experience with a track record of improving fabrication processes.
• Hands‑on welding or fabrication background.
• Health & Safety / Quality driven, ensuring products are manufactured to a high standard.
• Organised, natural problem solver who wants to own the department and continually improve all aspects.
• Comfortable with IT systems; experience with Sage (or similar) is ideal, but training can be provided.
