Electronics Design Engineer – 12 month contract, Monday to Friday, 37 hours per week. Pay up to £58 per hour via umbrella. Location: Stevenage.
IR35 Status: Inside. Security clearance: UK Eyes only prior to start.
Responsibilities
You will develop cutting‑edge electronic solutions for weapon systems, including board subsystems and land, sea and air firing units. You will oversee quality and performance of the electronic solution, provide cost and schedule updates to the project manager, and record electronic design capability throughout the product life cycle. Your technical solutions will range across power and analogue electronics at both subsystem and board level. You will liaise with other domains such as software, firmware, mechanical, environmental, EMC to ensure designs meet all requirements, delivering world‑class missile solutions to customers.
Essential Skills
- Degree qualified with significant post‑qualification experience in electronic design, development and delivery.
- Proven ability to lead significant electronic design work packages and experience working within a multidisciplinary team.
- Excellent problem‑solving skills and knowledge of a wide range of electronic technologies and products.
- Strong communication skills, written and verbal, with the ability to influence and negotiate with stakeholders.
