Mechanical Maintenance Engineer

Position: Mechanical Maintenance EngineerType: PermanentBasic: up to £38,000 Mon‑FriLocation: St Helens, Warrington, Runcorn, Merseyside

We are recruiting for a multi‑skilled maintenance engineer based in the Warrington or St Helen’s area covering the maintenance of circa 15 sites. The role will involve general mechanical aspects of building maintenance including basic plumbing, plant room HVAC, compliance etc.

The role is a permanent position paying up to £38k basicMon‑Fri 40 hours per weekLocal work/travelPlenty of overtime (paid at x1.5 / x2.0)On‑call TBC25 days holiday plus statutory holidaysVan supplied

Responsibilities

• Completing PPM and reactive maintenance to mechanical plant rooms
• Pumps and valves
• Plumbing maintenance
• Basic AHU/fan coil upkeep
• Checks and compliance duties including water/tap temperatures
• Small works installation
• Emergency repairs
• All ad‑hoc maintenance tasks

Requirements

• A qualified Mechanical Engineer or commercial‑grade plumber
• Experience of plant room, AHU’s, FCU’s etc.
• Previous PPM and reactive maintenance experience
• Excellent client‑facing skills
• Valid driving license
• Willingness to complete fabric and plumbing tasks
• Willing and ability to pass a DBS check
