Overview

This role involves overseeing the maintenance, repair, and optimisation of rotating equipment within the energy & natural resources industry. The successful candidate will play a key part in ensuring operational reliability and efficiency in a permanent position based in Paisley.

Description

  • Review of tender specifications
  • Creating and checking of tender documentation including drawings, specifications, parts lists, and technical descriptions.
  • Technical coordination of vendors for sub‑contractor parts/services.
  • Project planning and technical support of commercial discussions with customers and suppliers.

Field Support

  • Provide technical support during rotating equipment and gas turbine overhaul
  • Secondment to site
  • Preparing installation procedures, method statements and risk assessments

Product Development

  • Develop models, drawings and specifications for a wide range of rotating equipment and gas turbine component parts and assemblies.

Other Duties

  • Respond to both internal and external technical enquiries.
  • Review and action production concession requests and non‑conformance reports.
  • Respond to repair process and development issues.
  • Conduct RCAs in conjunction with field and customer representatives.
  • Site surveys as required.

Profile

  • A degree or equivalent qualification in mechanical engineering or a related field.
  • Experience working with rotating equipment within the energy & natural resources industry.
  • Ideally knowledge of industrial gas turbines.
  • Strong technical knowledge of maintenance and repair processes.
  • Familiarity with industry standards and safety regulations.
  • Excellent problem‑solving and analytical skills.
  • The ability to work collaboratively with cross‑functional teams.

Job Offer
