Are you a hands‑on Field Service Engineer, Commissioning Engineer, or Electrical Engineer looking for an international role working on advanced industrial equipment?
We are supporting a growing engineering business that delivers high‑value capital equipment and automated systems across the UK, Europe, and globally. Due to continued expansion, we are seeking a multi‑skilled Field Service Engineer to join our team.
This is a field‑based role offering a high level of autonomy, regular international travel, and the opportunity to work on complex electro‑mechanical and PLC‑controlled systems.
The Role:
- You will be responsible for installing, commissioning, maintaining, and servicing equipment at customer sites across the UK and EMEA region.
Key Responsibilities include:
- Installation and commissioning of electro‑mechanical and automated equipment
- Fault finding across electrical, mechanical, and control systems
- Working with PLCs, HMIs, and SCADA systems
- Carrying out planned and reactive maintenance
- Reading and interpreting electrical schematics and P&ID drawings
- Producing service reports and technical documentation
- Supporting customers with technical training and on‑site expertise
Candidate Profile:
We are looking for candidates with:
- Experience as a Field Service Engineer, Service Engineer, or Commissioning Engineer
- Strong electrical bias with supporting mechanical knowledge
- Experience working with PLC‑controlled systems (e.g. Siemens, Allen Bradley or similar)
- Familiarity with industrial equipment such as pumps, valves, pneumatics, or steam systems
- Ability to work independently in customer‑facing environments
- Willingness to travel internationally (approximately 25‑30%)
