Location: Cambridgeshire (commutable from Huntingdon, St Ives, St Neots, Cambridge, Ely, Peterborough, Whittlesey, Yaxley). Industry: FMCG / Highly Automated Manufacturing.

The Role
A proactive, automation-focused Maintenance Engineer position within a fast‑paced FMCG environment. The role centres on ensuring reliable operation of automated equipment through planned preventative maintenance, breakdown response, and continuous improvement activity.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) on automated systems
- Respond to breakdowns and carry out fault finding across electrical and mechanical systems
- Support root cause analysis and reliability improvementsAssist with continuous improvement and minor project work
- Maintain accurate maintenance records using CMMS systems
- Ensure all work is completed safely and in line with site standards
What we're looking for
- Multi-skilled – electrical or mechanical bias
- Level 2 (or equivalent) engineering qualification minimum
- Experience in FMCG, manufacturing, or automated environments
- Strong fault‑finding and PPM experience
- Proactive, reliable, and team‑focused approach
