Summary

Caddick Construction is a family-owned business renowned for quality, integrity, and innovation in the construction sector. The Environmental Manager will support the Environment and Sustainability Manager and wider construction site teams with the effective implementation of the environmental management system, including assisting with environmental planning, reviewing records and providing guidance on physical site environmental controls. This position can be based in our Wakefield or Warrington office with regional/national travel.

What You’ll Do

  • Assess and report on site environmental compliance and sustainability initiatives via our digitised reporting system
  • Drive completeness and accuracy of records within our waste reporting system, both internally and in our supply chain
  • Review the suitability and effectiveness of physical environmental control measures
  • Support the ongoing review of site-level environmental plans, including aspects and impacts registers
  • Assist with environmental incident investigations
  • Provide site teams with guidance on environmental legislation and other requirements

What We’re Looking For

Skills and Experience

  • Experience of environmental controls and management systems within the wider construction industry
  • Strong knowledge of UK environmental legislation
  • Experience of working with an ISO 14001 certified management system
  • Full UK driving licence (car allowance or car is available)
  • CSCS card (desirable)
  • Relevant degree or environmental qualification
