Deputy Home Manager | Elderly Care | Surrey Stephen James Consulting is partnering with an established elderly care provider in the Surrey area to recruit an experienced clinical leader for a well‑run nursing home setting. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a supportive team focused on delivering high‑quality, person‑centred care within a compliant and well‑structured service. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting the Home Manager with daily operations, clinical leadership, and maintaining exceptional care standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Support overall leadership and smooth day‑to‑day running of the home
- Ensure safe, effective, person‑centred care delivery at all times
- Provide clinical guidance and leadership to the care team
- Maintain full compliance with CQC and internal governance standards
- Oversee staffing, rotas, reporting, and operational performance
- Support service development, occupancy growth, and quality improvements
- Lead, mentor, and supervise staff through ongoing support and appraisals
- Step in as Home Manager when required
Requirements
- Registered Nurse (RGN or RMN) with active NMC PIN
- Strong background in elderly care within a senior clinical or deputy leadership role
- Good knowledge of CQC requirements and clinical governance
- Experience in dementia or older people's care settings
- Strong leadership, communication, and organisational skills
- Ability to motivate teams and maintain high standards of care
This role offers a salary of: £55,000 – £60,000 + benefits.
