Regional Sales Manager
Overview
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Regional Sales Manager to join a well-established engineering services organisation operating within the industrial and energy sectors.
This role is responsible for developing and growing customer relationships, securing new business opportunities, and promoting a portfolio of engineering and aftermarket service solutions across a defined territory. The successful candidate will play a key role in driving revenue growth, increasing market share, and identifying emerging customer and market trends.
Experience within the gas turbine, turbomachinery, pumps and compressors market is essential.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver budgeted sales revenue targets across the defined territory
- Develop and maintain long-term relationships with strategic customers
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities within existing and emerging markets
- Promote engineering and aftermarket service solutions to customers and prospects
- Gather and communicate market intelligence including customer trends, competitor activity, and industry developments
- Cross-sell and up-sell value-added service offerings
- Provide accurate sales forecasting and pipeline reporting
- Work closely with operational and business management teams to ensure customer expectations are achieved
- Support commercial strategies and contribute to business growth initiatives
- Maintain CRM systems and customer records effectively
Candidate Requirements
- Highly experienced technical sales or business development role
- Proven experience selling engineering solutions and/or aftermarket services
- Essential experience within the gas turbine, turbomachinery sectors
- Strong key account management and relationship-building capability
- Demonstrated success delivering sales growth within competitive markets
- Commercially aware with the ability to engage both technical and commercial stakeholders
- Engineering qualification or equivalent industry experience preferred
- Strong communication, presentation, and negotiation skills
- Experience using CRM systems and Microsoft Office applications
- Self-motivated, proactive, and able to work effectively both independently and within a team environment
- Additional language skills would be advantageous depending on territory
