Product Owner – Fulfilment Platforms (Technology)
Location: Reading (Hybrid, 1 day per week)

Primark is looking for a Technical Product Owner to drive the backend platforms that power our fulfilment ecosystem from order orchestration to inventory visibility, integrations, and post‑purchase experience. You’ll sit at the heart of our commerce engine, shaping scalable, resilient capabilities across OMS, WMS, carriers, and digital systems.
This role is ideal for someone who understands integrations, APIs, data flows, and distributed systems, and can translate operational and commercial needs into clear technical requirements.
What You’ll Do
- Own backend commerce integrations across OMS, WMS, carriers, PIM, pricing, and analytics
- Manage the full product lifecycle — discovery → delivery → live operations
- Define and prioritise a technical backlog covering APIs, data flows, and platform logic
- Act as the bridge between business and engineering, turning needs into actionable requirements
- Balance new features with platform stability, performance, and technical debt
- Drive improvements in fulfilment performance, SLAs, and exception handling using data
- Ensure data quality and system integrity across orders, inventory, and reporting
- Support live operations, incident management, and on‑call rotation
- Communicate complex technical topics simply for stakeholders
What You’ll Bring
- 3–5 years in technical Product Ownership, Business Analysis, or Digital/Tech delivery
- Strong understanding of backend commerce systems, APIs, and integrations
- Experience shaping roadmaps and managing multi‑disciplinary delivery teams
- Familiarity with Agile frameworks (Scrum, SAFe)
- Analytical mindset with strong prioritisation skills
- Ability to translate technical detail into business‑friendly language
