Job Title: Multi-Skilled Security / Fire Engineer (Lead Engineer)

About the Role
We are a Family Run business looking for a highly capable and experienced Multi-Skilled Security Engineer to join our growing team. This is a lead engineer position, responsible for organising and overseeing installations, supporting junior engineers, and delivering high-quality security system solutions across a variety of commercial and industrial sites throughout the UK.
You will be split between Sites & Office which is based in the Midlands with regular travel to sites nationwide.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead installation, commissioning, servicing and handover of security systems
- Work across multiple disciplines including; Intruder Alarms, Fire Alarm Systems, Access control, CCTV systems
- Take ownership of projects on site, ensuring work is completed to a high standard
- Support and guide installation engineers and subcontractors
- Carry out fault finding, maintenance, and system upgrades
- Ensure compliance with current regulations and standards (e.g. BS 7671, BS 5839, NSI standards where applicable)
- Liaise with clients, project managers, and office teams
- Liaise With SSAIB for audits & inspections
- Help with our call out roster
Systems Experience (Essential / Preferred)
- Strong experience with Galaxy & Eaton Scantronic intruder Control Panels
- Experience with Notifier, Gent & Advanced Fire systems
- Familiarity with Grosvenor Janus access control systems (highly desirable)
- Experience with milestone VMS software
- Experience with Avigilon CCTV & Other IP formats
- Experience across other leading security platforms is also beneficial
- Ability to build networks
Requirements
- Proven experience in a multi-skilled security engineering role
- Strong installation and commissioning background
- Ability to lead jobs and manage site-based activity
- Build quotations and deliver to clients
- Good understanding of UK regulations and industry standards
- Full UK driving license
- Willingness to travel and occasionally stay away
Desirable Qualifications
- FIA units (or equivalent fire qualifications)
- ECS/CSCS card
- IPAF / PASMA
- Manufacturer training certifications
