Our client is a well-established professional services organisation with a strong reputation in its sector. As part of continued growth, they are looking to appoint a Sales Development Representative to support the generation of new business opportunities.
This is an excellent opportunity for a commercially minded individual who enjoys speaking with prospective clients, building relationships and creating qualified opportunities for the wider sales team.
Working closely with both sales and marketing, you will play a key role in identifying target organisations, engaging decision-makers and booking high-quality meetings.
As a Sales Development Representative, you will:
- Identify and research prospective clients within target markets.
- Generate leads through outbound calls, emails and LinkedIn outreach.
- Respond to inbound enquiries and marketing-generated leads.
- Qualify prospects by understanding their needs and challenges.
- Book meetings for senior sales colleagues.
- Build and nurture relationships with potential clients.
- Maintain accurate records of all activity within the CRM system.
- Collaborate with sales and marketing to improve campaign effectiveness.
- Meet and exceed activity and lead generation targets.
- Keep up to date with market trends and competitor activity.
What we’re looking for:
- At least one year of experience in B2B sales or a customer-facing role.
- Proven ability to manage enquiries and follow up on leads in a timely manner.
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
- A consultative approach with the ability to understand customer requirements.
- Well-organised with excellent attention to detail.
- Experience using CRM systems such as Salesforce.
- Commercially aware and target driven.
- Self-motivated and proactive.
- Comfortable working independently and as part of a team.
- Strong problem-solving skills and a positive attitude.
