New opportunity with a Global Specialty Insurer within the Lloyd's Market. The Risk Intelligence Team (RIT) is a specialist function within Risk Management focused on emerging, strategic, and complex risks. The team oversees sustainability initiatives, monitors emerging risks, conducts scenario analysis, validates internal models, and supports strategic risk projects across the business.
This role leads the team and develops capabilities in model risk management and AI governance. Working closely with senior leadership, the role has broad visibility across executive and board-level forums.
Key Responsibilities:
Leadership
- Lead the strategic direction and day-to-day management of the Risk Intelligence Team.
- Develop and deliver the annual team plan aligned to broader Risk Management objectives.
- Monitor progress against priorities and adapt plans in response to business needs.
Model Risk Management & Validation
- Lead the annual validation plan for the internal capital model.
- Enhance model risk management practices across the business, identifying key risks and strengthening controls and governance.
Emerging & Strategic Risk
- Monitor emerging risk trends using internal and external sources, identifying those most relevant to the business.
- Assess the implications of emerging risks on strategy and business performance.
- Support scenario analysis and strategic risk assessments.
Sustainability
- Oversee sustainability-related activities and support the continued integration of sustainability considerations across the business.
- Work collaboratively with stakeholders to embed sustainability initiatives effectively.
AI Governance
- Lead Risk Management’s contribution to AI governance and oversight.
- Support the development of proportionate AI risk management and governance frameworks.
Continuous Improvement & Advisory Support
- Drive ongoing enhancement of strategic risk, emerging risk, sustainability, and model risk management processes.
- Provide specialist support on complex or strategic initiatives across the business.
Stakeholder Engagement & Risk Leadership
- Build strong relationships across the business and act as an ambassador for Risk Management.
- Collaborate closely with senior stakeholders to embed effective risk management practices.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues across Risk Management to support wider function objectives and initiatives.
