Midas VFX is looking for experienced Freelance DMP Artists to join our team across a range of high-end film and television projects.

We’re looking for artists with a strong eye for composition, atmosphere, scale and realism who can help create high-quality environments and seamless world extensions for feature films and premium episodic productions.


Responsibilities
  • Create high-quality digital matte paintings and environment work
  • Produce set extensions, skies, landscapes and large-scale environments
  • Work closely with Supervisors, CG and Compositing teams
  • Integrate 2D and 3D elements seamlessly into live-action plates
  • Maintain consistency across sequences and shots
  • Help develop environments from concept through to final delivery


Requirements
  • Strong portfolio/showreel demonstrating high-end DMP work
  • Excellent understanding of composition, lighting, colour and perspective
  • Experience with Photoshop and projection workflows
  • Good understanding of Nuke-based DMP integration
  • Experience working with 3D cameras and basic scene assembly
  • Ability to work photo-realistically across a range of styles and environments


Nice To Have
  • Experience with Houdini, Maya or 3ds Max
  • Environment layout or lookdev experience
  • Knowledge of projection workflows and camera projection setups
  • Experience using photogrammetry or scan-based workflows
