We’re working with a brilliant specialist SEND school in Wakefield, supporting children and young people with autism and complex needs. It’s a setting full of heart, where teamwork matters and every role counts.
Small class sizes, typically 6 to 9 pupils
A genuinely supportive team, proper communication and yes, tea break chats
Opportunities across primary and secondary phases

Supporting pupils with SEND, including autism and other needs, in and out of the classroom
Working closely with the teacher to keep lessons engaging and accessible
Creating a calm, structured, and positive learning environment
Helping pupils build confidence, independence, and emotional regulation
Learning on the job with ongoing SEND training and CPD
Stay calm and patient, even when the room isn’t
Are compassionate, curious, and ready to learn
Bring positive energy and don’t mind getting stuck in
Have an enhanced DBS on the update service, or are happy to apply for one
A consultant who actually picks up the and checks in
Free CPD, including Team Teach and SEND-focused training
Weekly PAYE pay, no umbrella company deductions

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
