A well-established, independent insurance broker in Northern Ireland is looking to add an experienced Commercial Account Handler to its growing team.

This is an opportunity to join a highly respected brokerage with a strong reputation across the Northern Ireland market, working closely with longstanding commercial and agricultural clients across a varied portfolio.

The role would suit someone with experience handling commercial insurance who enjoys building relationships, managing renewals and providing a high level of service to SME and agri-based clients.



The Role

You will work closely with Account Executives and clients across the full insurance cycle, supporting a broad range of commercial and agricultural accounts.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Managing renewals, mid-term adjustments and new business quotations
  • Handling client queries and maintaining strong ongoing relationships
  • Preparing market presentations and negotiating with insurers
  • Supporting agricultural and rural business clients across multiple sectors
  • Processing policy documentation and ensuring compliance standards are met
  • Liaising with underwriters and insurers to secure competitive terms
  • Working collaboratively within a close-knit commercial team


About You

  • Previous experience within commercial insurance
  • Strong understanding of renewals and client servicing
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
  • Experience within agricultural/agri insurance would be highly advantageous
  • Ability to manage multiple cases and work in a fast-paced environment
  • Comfortable dealing directly with clients and insurers
