Company: Propel
Apply for the Senior Product Manager
Location: London
Job Description:

£75,000+ (flexible for the right person)

A fast‑growing, AI‑focused B2B SaaS company is looking for a Senior Product Manager to join its product team at a pivotal stage of growth. The company builds tools that power customer‑facing teams – leveraging AI across workflows such as automation, communication, and productivity tooling – and operates in a fast‑paced, highly iterative environment where product decisions are made quickly and close to the customer.

This is a senior, high‑impact role within a lean product organisation. You will own key product modules and roadmaps, lead a squad, and play a central role in shaping product direction alongside engineering and leadership.

What You’ll Do

  • Own end‑to‑end product areas, including roadmap definition and execution across key modules.
  • Lead a cross‑functional squad (engineers, QA, design) alongside a senior engineering counterpart.
  • Make high‑quality prioritisation decisions in a fast‑moving, often ambiguous environment.
  • Build and maintain clear, structured product roadmaps that balance short‑term delivery with long‑term strategy.
  • Work directly with customers through regular calls to deeply understand workflows, pain points, and opportunities.
  • Translate customer insights, internal feedback, and technical documentation into clear product direction.
  • Collaborate daily with engineering on sprint planning, stand‑ups, ideation, and delivery.
  • Conduct competitor and market analysis to inform product strategy.
  • Act as a key decision‑maker in shaping AI‑driven product direction and system design choices.

What We’re Looking For

  • 4–5+ years experience in Product Management, ideally in a start‑up or scale‑up environment.
  • Current Senior PM or experienced PM ready to step into a more senior ownership role.
  • Strong experience working in B2B SaaS environments (preferred).
  • Exposure to AI products, AI systems, or AI‑enabled workflows highly desirable.
  • Proven ability to own roadmaps, make prioritisation decisions, and operate with autonomy.
  • Experience working closely with engineering teams in agile, fast‑moving squads.
  • Comfortable interpreting technical documentation and making product decisions from it.
  • Strong commercial awareness and ability to balance user needs with business outcomes.
  • Background in start‑up/scale‑up environments preferred; less emphasis on large enterprise experience.
  • Demonstrated ability to ship meaningful product work, not just manage backlog items.

You’ll Thrive If You:

  • Enjoy owning problems end‑to‑end, not just delivering tickets.
  • Are comfortable making tough prioritisation calls with incomplete information.
  • Love working directly with users and turning insights into shipped product.
  • Are excited by AI and building products at the forefront of the space.
  • Move quickly, iterate often, and adapt as priorities shift.
  • Balance strategic thinking with hands‑on execution.
  • Prefer small, high‑agency teams over large, process‑heavy organisations.
  • Embedded within a lean product team (approx. 6 PMs including leadership layer).
  • Dedicated engineering squad (approx. 14 total including engineers, QA, and design; ~6 engineers per squad).
  • You will operate as the most senior PM within your stream, working closely with a senior software engineer counterpart.
  • High autonomy with direct ownership of roadmap and delivery within your area.

Why Join?

  • High ownership from day one in a senior, decision‑making role.
  • Opportunity to shape AI‑driven products at pace.
  • Tight‑knit, low‑ego team with strong engineering collaboration.
  • Direct impact on roadmap, product direction, and customer experience.
  • Fast‑moving environment where ideas turn into shipped product quickly.
