Responsibilities
- Achieving operational excellence and managing the financial performance of your centre.
- Ensuring the highest standards of display, compliance and inventory control are maintained.
- Reporting to Regional Manager. Learning all aspects of being a manager in the Garden Centre.
- Managing duties from watering plants, serving customers on tills to posting on Instagram.
- Managing cash handling and weekly banking.
- Booking in stock, talking to customers and looking after plants.
- Maintaining and monitoring Health & Safety in accordance with statutory, legal and company policies.
- Positivity management change, leading the team through each season with care and motivation to deliver the best.
- Identifying training needs and effectively coaching and training at all levels.
As a Garden Centre Manager, you will manage, lead, inspire and develop an amazing team and ensure all customers have a great in‑store experience.

The Garden Centre is a high‑volume environment with a fast turnaround; the successful candidate should have proven managerial experience, be physically fit for a very hands‑on role with occasional heavy lifting, and have a passion for exceptional retail standards, driving sales and great customer service.
Requirements: Previous Garden Centre Management experience (centre manager or deputy manager level) and ability to motivate a team of managers and supervisors to work efficiently and effectively to meet deadlines. Plant knowledge, excellent customer service skills, communication and team‑management abilities, experience working in a similar role, experience managing a team, and horticulture experience are desirable.
