Job Overview
Data Architect at PA Consulting will help drive data and AI transformations for our clients by defining the data blueprint and architecture for complex programmes. The role requires understanding both classic and next‑generation platform capabilities. You will architect end‑to‑end data platforms that include ingestion, orchestration, governance, security, cost‑optimisation, and observability, and translate business needs into scalable, resilient, and secure data solutions.
Responsibilities
- Define data blueprint and architecture for complex programmes
- Architect end‑to‑end data platforms covering ingestion, orchestration, governance, security, cost‑optimisation and observability
- Work closely with clients to translate business needs into scalable, resilient and secure data solutions
- Lead teams, take ownership of end‑to‑end assignment delivery, and drive senior advisory roles
Technical Stack
- Multi‑cloud data warehousing and data lake platforms
- Data manipulation, integration and ingestion technologies
- Programming/scripting languages
- ML/AI frameworks
- Infrastructure & DevOps concepts and tooling
- Data visualization/BI & analytics platforms
- Semantic models and metrics layers
- Data governance tooling
Qualifications
- Hands‑on data background with experience leading engineering teams to deliver applications and services
- Clear understanding and practical application of data architecture and delivery methodologies
- Operating confidently across the data domain with understanding of AI impact
- Commitment to continuous improvement and professional development
- Strong problem‑solving and analytical thinking skills
- Excellent collaboration with multiple stakeholders in fast‑paced environments
- Relevant certifications in methodologies and cloud technologies are advantageous
