Solicitor – Court of Protection

Responsibilities

  • Draft applications for the appointment of deputies for property and affairs.
  • Prepare statutory will applications, gift and care applications.
  • Produce annual OPG accounts and complex legal documents, briefs, and witness statements.
  • Lead client meetings and manage negotiations.
  • Delegate tasks to paralegals and support staff.
  • Participate in marketing opportunities, including contributing to blogs and media commentary.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Experience within Court of Protection.
  • Knowledge of the Mental Capacity Act 2005 and experience with property purchases.
  • Strong drafting and client-facing skills.

Working Arrangements

  • Hybrid working – 2 days per week in the office (must live within reasonable commuting distance).
  • 35 hours per week – Monday to Friday, flexible and agile working environment.
  • Hybrid working as a core element of the role.
