We’re looking to appoint a suitably qualified and experienced individual to take up the role of Head of Construction Yorkshire within our Development Delivery Team.
The role will cover Yorkshire and provide some support within the Northeast to support wider Karbon Group development activity.
Our Development Delivery Team, backed by a Strategic Partnership relationship with Homes England, secures land and delivers an ambitious programme of high‑quality, multi‑tenure, new build homes across rural and urban locations in the North of England.
This role will help drive further growth in new homes across our expanding geography and help to deliver high quality new affordable homes to the market.
About The Role
The Head of Construction Yorkshire leads the Construction Delivery Team in Yorkshire, working closely with our Group Director Development and other members of our Leadership Team comprising the Head of Construction North East, Head of Land and Partnerships Yorkshire, Head of Land and Partnerships Northeast and Development Programme Manager, to deliver the new homes construction programme across Yorkshire, ensuring high quality construction, contract management, budget control, handover and defects management as well as contributing to the ongoing review and updating of Karbon’s house‑types and specifications.
This role will support Karbon’s commitments to Homes England as a Strategic Partner, alongside supporting Karbon’s growth ambition across Yorkshire, which involves a range of small rural to large multi‑phased and multi‑tenure development utilising both traditional and modern methods of construction.
Our agile working approach gives you the flexibility to manage the new business team and your own time across development sites with both office and home/remote working available.
About You
We seek a dynamic housing development and construction professional with strong teamwork, collaboration and customer‑focused ethos.
You will have a strong record of demonstrable achievement at management level in an organisation of comparable size and complexity, and experience delivering substantial development construction programmes, including managing Homes England funded development programmes.

Key Details
- Head of Construction Yorkshire – Permanent role
- Salary: £71,720 per annum plus a Karbon car payment of £2,405 per annum
- Location: Office based in York
- Regular travel across Yorkshire and occasionally Northeast to construction sites and Karbon offices
- 37 hours per week with agile working (part‑time may be considered)
