Role: Senior, SAP S/4HANA Defense & Security (D&S), Consultant
Location: Remote
Level of Effort: As-Needed (5-20 hours, per week)
Duration: ASAP until March 31, 2027, plus potential extension(s)
Project description: PwC Canada's internal SAP Practice has a requirement for a senior SAP S/4HANA Defense & Security (D&S) Consultant, to support an ongoing project with our Canadian Federal Government client, leading as subject matter expert and provide ongoing support as required with key design solutions - In the design Phase. They will assist in the selection, implementation, and support of SAP Defense and Security Industry Solutions. They will also utilize consulting skills, business knowledge, and packaged solution expertise to effectively integrate packaged technology into the clients' businesses.
There are a variety of unique prerequisite security background verifications and requirements that the applicant will need to align with, to be eligible.
Resident Citizens from Canada, Netherlands, Sweden, Germany, Australia and New Zealand, US and the UK will be considered.
Preference Education: Master's Degree
Preference Certification: SAP Certification(s)
Your primary responsibilities will include
- Lead Client Solution Delivery: Manage the delivery of SAP Defense and Security Solutions to clients, ensuring effective integration of SAP S/4HANA into their businesses. This involves collaborating with clients to understand their needs and preferences and providing expert guidance on solution implementation and support.
- Develop Implementation Strategies: Design and develop strategies for implementing SAP Military Planning and Operations, taking into account clients' unique business requirements and industry-specific needs.
- Integrate SAP Industry Solutions: Apply expertise in SAP S/4HANA integration to ensure seamless incorporation of SAP D&S into clients' existing systems and processes.
- Provide Ongoing Support: Oversee the provision of ongoing support to clients, addressing any issues or concerns that may arise during the implementation and post-implementation phases.
Must have Technical and Functional SAP Expertise
- At the very least the eligible candidate’s resume must demonstrate a minimum of ten years (120 months) of SAP experience.
- Experience as a Functional SAP expert, specialising in the design and configuration of the SAP Defense & Security (D&S) (aka DnS) Industry Solution or Defence Forces Public Security (DFPS) Industry Solution.
- Thorough understanding key integration aspects of Defense & Security with finance, supply chain, maintenance and procurement.
- In-depth knowledge of data models and processes of the Force Element, Flexible Material Planning Objects, Material Requirements Planning (MRP) Areas, Storage Locations and Equipment.
- Extensive project delivery experience with proven delivery methodology.
- Consulting Skills: experience in eliciting business requirements, providing conceptual and detailed designs to meet business needs, implementing SAP configuration, writing detailed specifications for developments, testing and defect resolution, business and user education.
- Public Sector Industry Knowledge: experience working with Government and Defence organizations, utilizing business knowledge to ensure successful project delivery and achieving project goals.
Preferred Technical and Functional SAP Expertise
- Proven experience in a Defence environment.
- Business Process Analysis: Deep expertise in analyzing business processes to identify areas for improvement, with the ability to develop solutions that increase efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance business performance.
- Strategic Change Development: Experience with developing strategies to drive transformation and change, working closely with clients to understand their business needs and objectives.
- Solution Implementation Expertise: Experience in developing and implementing tailored business transformation and change management solutions to enable clients to achieve their business objectives.
- Business Acumen: Experience applying business knowledge to understand clients' unique business requirements and industry-specific needs, and to develop strategies for implementing SAP Military Planning and Operations.
