Carriera has been exclusively retained by a well-established property investment and asset management business to appoint a client-side Building Surveyor as part of its continued growth.
This is a portfolio-focused position, giving you exposure to asset management strategy, capital works and investment-led decision-making across a diverse London estate.
What the role involves:
You’ll oversee surveying and project delivery across a mixed-use portfolio, working closely alongside the in-house Property Management and Investment teams.
The role combines office-based responsibilities with regular site visits across Central and Greater London.
Key responsibilities:
- Managing and surveying a varied property portfolio
- Delivering multiple projects up to £15m in value
- Refurbishment and Cat A / Cat A+ schemes
- Technical due diligence and lifecycle planning
- Advising on building condition, compliance and risk
- Supporting asset enhancement and value-add initiatives
Portfolio exposure:
- Commercial, residential, retail and industrial assets
- Roughly 40% residential / 60% commercial workload
- Victorian and Edwardian listed buildings
- Long-term Central London investment portfolio
About you:
- MRICS-qualified Building Surveyor
- 3–7 years PQE with strong technical ability
- Experience with traditional and listed buildings
- Comfortable working client-side or within consultancy
- Confident managing multiple projects and stakeholders
- ESG knowledge or interest advantageous
