Underwriting Performance and Oversight Lead (Reinsurer)

We’re hiring an experienced underwriting performance and oversight professional to join a global reinsurance business in London.

This role will focus on strengthening underwriting oversight, improving portfolio performance, and supporting consistent underwriting standards across international teams. You’ll work closely with underwriting, risk, compliance, finance, actuarial and operations stakeholders to enhance controls, manage governance frameworks, and support business planning and performance monitoring.

Key areas includes:

• Leading underwriting review and oversight activity
• Supporting portfolio performance reporting
• Driving process improvement and embedding best practice across teams
• Partnering with senior stakeholders to ensure strong risk and underwriting discipline
• Maintaining underwriting authorities, referral processes and governance standards

We’re looking for someone with experience in insurance or reinsurance underwriting performance, governance, underwriting operations, or portfolio oversight, with strong stakeholder management skills and the confidence to challenge constructively.
