Responsibilities

  • Take accountability for the work area (receiving, picking, loading, put‑away, etc.) and ensure the team meets performance targets.
  • Lead from the front, maintaining warehouse and product placement standards (Warehouse Excellence).
  • Ensure stock integrity is managed throughout handling and that all items are quality‑controlled on receipt and after each movement.
  • Oversee the team to reach and exceed key performance indicators and quality standards, completing tasks on time.
  • Maintain high standards of hygiene and housekeeping throughout the shift.
  • Complete administration and data capture accurately and promptly.
  • Ensure all activities comply with legislative requirements, especially Health & Safety.
  • Identify opportunities to improve indoor KPIs and challenge the status quo to drive implementation of ideas.
  • Communicate clearly with direct reports to align objectives with functional and broader business goals.
  • Prioritise day‑to‑day activities to meet deadlines and maintain professional quality of work.
  • Mentor and coach team members, providing direction for improvement and resolving conflicts fairly.
  • Manage attendance and conduct in accordance with company policy and procedure.
  • Build open and professional relationships with colleagues, peers and cross‑functional stakeholders.

Qualifications

  • Expertise in warehouse operations, including UTR excellence and SSOWs.
  • Strong knowledge of other regional operations.
  • Excellent relationship‑management skills with ability to navigate corporate structures.
  • Leadership and team‑management skills, acting professionally and maintaining confidentiality.
  • Team‑player attitude with strong coaching, communication, time‑management and attention to detail.
  • Preferred experience with Red Prairie, Empactis, Qlikview, ODS, and Viewpoint.
