£60,000 – £63,000 + Benefits

As Senior Operations Manager, you will be responsible for leading day‑to‑day operational performance across a busy multi‑client distribution operation, ensuring service, productivity, and cost targets are consistently achieved. You will play a key role in driving operational efficiency, continuous improvement, and team engagement across the site.

Working closely with senior leadership, you will help shape operational strategy while maintaining a strong focus on customer service, people development, and performance delivery within a highly demanding 3PL environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage large‑scale warehouse and logistics operations
  • Drive operational performance across productivity, service, quality, and cost KPIs
  • Develop and mentor operational management teams across multiple shifts/functions
  • Ensure customer expectations and SLA requirements are consistently achieved
  • Identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives across the operation
  • Manage labour planning, resource allocation, and operational budgets
  • Maintain high standards across health & safety, compliance, and operational discipline
  • Work collaboratively with customers and internal stakeholders to support growth and operational success

About You

  • Proven experience within a senior warehousing or logistics leadership role
  • Strong background within a 3PL, retail, FMCG, or high‑volume logistics distribution and supply chain environment
  • Experience managing large operational teams within fast‑paced distribution settings
  • Demonstrable track record of improving operational performance and engagement
  • Commercially aware with strong analytical and decision‑making skills
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management capability
  • Comfortable operating within KPI‑driven environments with multiple customer demands
