Site Manager – Major Project | Glasgow | Immediate Start

We are currently recruiting for an experienced and proactive Site Manager to join a major construction project in Glasgow, with an immediate start available for the right candidate.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a busy, fast‑paced site environment where you will play a key role overseeing day‑to‑day operations, with a particular focus on site logistics, coordination, compliance, and operational planning. The successful candidate will be highly organised, commercially aware, and confident managing multiple moving parts across a live construction project.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee day‑to‑day site operations, ensuring works are delivered safely and efficiently
  • Manage and coordinate all site logistics, deliveries, access routes, storage areas, and material movements
  • Supervise subcontractors, logistics teams, traffic marshals, and site operatives
  • Ensure works are delivered in line with programme, quality, and health & safety standards
  • Coordinate with project teams, suppliers, and subcontractors to maintain workflow and avoid delays
  • Monitor site documentation, permits, inductions, inspections, and compliance records
  • Manage site reporting, progress updates, and daily communication with senior management
  • Maintain high standards of housekeeping, welfare, and overall site presentation
  • Use site management systems including Datascope and other digital reporting platforms

Candidate Requirements

  • Proven experience working as a Site Manager on major construction projects
  • Strong background managing complex site logistics within live environments
  • Confident using digital systems, tablets, laptops, and site management software
  • Experience using Datascope or similar site reporting / inspection platforms
  • Strong IT literacy including Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and digital reporting toolsExcellent communication, leadership, and organisational skills
  • Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment and make effective operational decisions

Essential Qualifications

  • Valid SMSTS
  • Valid CSCS Card
  • First Aid at Work
  • Strong understanding of RAMS, permits, and site compliance procedures
