Are you an experienced transport professional who is an all rounder? We are working with a well-established container haulage company based in Immingham, looking to appoint a proactive and hands-on Depot Manager to oversee their busy operation.

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a growing business where you will play a key role in driving efficiency, compliance, and team performance.

The Role

As Depot Manager, you will take full responsibility for the day-to-day running of the depot, ensuring a smooth and efficient operation. You will lead from the front, managing drivers, planners, and office staff, while maintaining high service standards for customers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily transport operations, ensuring all deliveries and collections run efficiently
  • Manage and support a team of drivers and office staff
  • Ensure full compliance with transport regulations, including driver hours and vehicle maintenance
  • Monitor KPIs, performance, and costs to drive operational improvements
  • Build and maintain a cost efficient operation, driving customer retention and spend
  • Handle any operational issues, including delays, breakdowns, driver queries and depot maintenance

Requirements

  • Proven experience within container haulage or general haulage operations
  • Previous experience in a supervisory or management role
  • Strong knowledge of UK transport compliance and regulations
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, problem-solving environment
