Role Overview

You will be part of the Operations Team, dedicated to ensuring procurement best practice is followed and that associated guidance and policies relating to third parties are adhered to. The role holder will document, maintain, and develop key procurement processes, including sourcing and resource planning for the function.

The holder will develop and improve processes in Source to Contract, SRM, and Procure to Pay, supporting the Group Procurement & SRM team in delivering excellent service to colleagues and stakeholders. They will own key policies maintained by the Group and be responsible for core procurement processes for strategic sourcing, purchase to pay, and SRM.

This role works across all procurement areas and stakeholders to embed Procurement Excellence solutions throughout the organization.

Additionally, the holder will recommend improvements to policy process efficiency, increase overall productivity, drive cost control, and enhance risk mitigation in the Group’s supply chain. They will collaborate with sourcing and SRM teams on continuous improvement activities aimed at maximizing process and payment efficiency for the c. £400m per annum third‑party spend.

The role holder is expected to participate in broader initiatives and projects within the Procurement Function as required.

Ideally you are a detail‑focused person with strong skills in process management, analytics, planning, and performance management, preferably within a financial services background. You possess detailed knowledge of procurement as a discipline and can apply analytical and planning models to achieve best‑in‑class P2P and source‑to‑contract outcomes. You demonstrate strong relationship‑management and networking skills for stakeholder and supplier engagement and have a proven track record of simplifying organizational processes to deliver significant productivity improvements and efficiencies. You are a natural people leader, energetic, colleague‑focused, and possess excellent communication and presentation skills.

Requirements

  • Experience in process redesign that delivered improved productivity and speed to market while maintaining risk mitigation.
  • Understanding of procurement processes and their operation in financial services.
  • Track record of resource planning and the ability to create analytical and planning models.
  • Proficiency with all desktop applications – MS Office including Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Visio.
  • Ability to meet multiple deadlines and prioritize activities.
  • 5+ years of experience in procurement or a financial organization.
  • CIPS accreditation, NOA equivalence, or ITIL qualifications and understanding.
