Aptura AI builds domain‑specific AI systems for regulated industries such as finance by combining frontier models with real‑world expert judgment. We operate across London and San Francisco. We work with AI labs and vertical AI companies to improve how models reason in finance, healthcare, and legal workflows.

We are growing fast, and we are hiring a Chief of Staff to help us grow fast.

The Role

This is a high‑ownership, high‑autonomy role working directly with the CEO. You will shape, build, and do a bit of everything across the org, there is no fixed remit. One week you might be running a hiring process, the next week building out commercial ops, the next week sitting in on a deal with a frontier lab. The job is to find the highest‑leverage problems and solve them.

This role suits someone who wants to be in the room where decisions are made, learn the business end‑to‑end, and eventually take on a leadership remit of their own.

The Opportunity

We’re hiring a Chief of Staff to join our London team and work directly alongside the CEO. This is a role for someone with an investment banking foundation and hyper‑growth startup experience who wants to operate at the frontier of how AI is being built for high‑stakes industries, not just applied to them.

You will work at the intersection of:

  • Strategy, operations, and commercial execution
  • Hiring, finance, and investor relations
  • The frontier of AI applied to finance, healthcare, and legal

You’ll have full autonomy and ownership to shape, build, and execute across every part of a hyper‑growth org, finding the highest‑leverage problems each week and solving them.

What You’ll Do

  • Work directly with the CEO on the most pressing priorities across the company; strategy, operations, commercial, hiring, and finance.
  • Own end‑to‑end execution on cross‑functional projects that don’t yet have an owner.
  • Build the operational backbone of a hyper‑growth company; processes, systems, reporting.
  • Run hiring loops and help bring in exceptional talent.
  • Prepare materials for investors, customers, and partners.
  • Step into gaps wherever they appear, then build the function or hire the person to make yourself redundant.

What We’re Looking For

  • Minimum 3 years in investment banking (IBD) or equivalent. You have thrived in intense, high‑stakes environments and know what excellent work looks like.
  • 1–3 years operating at a hyper‑growth startup. You have unlearned the bad parts of IBD, embraced moving fast, and kept the intensity.
  • Very comfortable with ambiguity and fast‑paced environments, you create structure rather than wait for it.
  • Sharp commercial and analytical instincts plus strong written communication.
  • Low ego, high agency willing to do the unglamorous work as well as the strategic work.
  • Excited about AI and its application to regulated industries.
