The Opportunity

You will join the Business Services and Outsourcing team, which plays a key role in meeting clients’ evolving needs. The team delivers long‑term, sustainable value by providing a range of solutions, including accounting, payroll and compliance services, while also working closely with colleagues across the wider firm both in the UK and internationally.

By developing strong and trusted relationships with clients ranging from entrepreneurial SMEs to large multinational groups, the team supports not only their immediate business challenges but also introduces wider advisory services where appropriate. The Role

As an Manager/Assistant Manager, you will build strong technical and financial reporting expertise within a collaborative team, supported by high‑quality training and development. You will work with a diverse client portfolio across multiple sectors, delivering statutory accounts and advisory services under UK GAAP and IFRS.

You will take ownership of more complex engagements, manage and develop client relationships, review the work of junior team members and ensure consistently high‑quality and timely delivery. In addition, you will contribute to the wider Financial Reporting management team, supporting people development, business growth, commercial performance and compliance with firm policies and procedures.

Key Responsibilities

  • Leading and managing complex client engagements
  • Preparing and reviewing statutory accounts, consolidations and cash flows
  • Delivering financial reporting and advisory services under UK GAAP and UK‑adopted IFRS
  • Managing client relationships and acting as a trusted point of contact
  • Reviewing team output and providing coaching and feedback
  • Identifying opportunities to enhance service delivery and introduce additional services
  • Supporting people development, performance and progression within the team

About You

You will be someone who can work proactively, manage your own workload effectively and collaborate confidently with others. You will communicate regularly with senior managers, directors and partners to ensure excellent client service.

You will also be encouraged to identify and contribute to business development opportunities and play an active role in the continued growth of the practice.

Skills and Experience

  • Previous experience in a management or supervisory role
  • Strong working knowledge of UK and international reporting standards (UK GAAP and UK‑adopted IFRS)
  • Experience preparing and reviewing statutory accounts, consolidations and cash flows
  • Business development experience, with the ability to identify and help convert opportunities
