Job Description
We’re looking for an Oracle EBS HCM Payroll Functional Consultant to support Payroll & Absence modules for UK public sector clients. You will need expert knowledge of UK payroll processes and proven experience with Oracle Global Payroll/Absence EBS, guiding projects through the SDLC and translating complex solutions for diverse audiences.
Your Role
As an Oracle EBS HCM Consultant, you will be instrumental in providing impactful solutions to our clients. Your focus will be on the implementation and ongoing support of Oracle EBS HCM modules, specifically UK Payroll and Absence for the UK public sector. You will have a deep understanding of all UK Payroll, Pension, and Absence processes, backed by practical experience with Oracle Global Payroll/Absence EBS. You will lead client engagements, discussing integrations, data migrations, and reporting across relevant modules. You will translate technical solutions into clear insights for technical teams to senior management, and guide projects through the SDLC for smooth delivery and top system performance.
Responsibilities
- Lead and execute implementation of Oracle EBS HCM, focusing on UK Payroll & Absence modules.
- Demonstrate expert proficiency in all aspects of UK Payroll, Pension, and Absence processes.
- Apply hands‑on experience in Oracle Global Payroll/Absence EBS within the UK public sector.
- Communicate effectively, lead and assist in troubleshooting and resolving functional problems.
- Take ownership of the support process, ensuring service level agreements are met.
- Transition tickets from incumbent vendor while ensuring customer satisfaction.
- Utilize extensive knowledge of HCM technical tools, including HCM Data Loader (HDL), HCM Extract, BI reporting, Fast Formulas and Payroll Batch Loader.
- Effectively discuss complex technology solutions to diverse audiences, including walkthroughs of Business Process Specification documents, Configuration Workbooks, testing and change requests.
- Lead customer discussions on integrations, data migrations, and reports related to Payroll, Absence and other relevant modules.
- Apply comprehensive knowledge of the full SDLC, including conference‑room pilots (CRPs), playback sessions, training content preparation and delivery.
Required
- 12+ years of experience implementing Oracle EBS HCM for Absence and Payroll modules in the UK.
- Proficiency in all UK Payroll, Pension and Absence processes.
- Hands‑on experience with Oracle Global Payroll/Absence EBS for UK public sector clients.
- Knowledge of HCM technical tools, including HCM Data Loader, HCM Extract, BI reporting, Fast Formula and Payroll Batch Loader.
- Ability to communicate complex technology solutions to technical, business and management teams.
- Ability to lead discussions with customer teams on integrations, tickets and reports for Payroll, Absence and other modules.
- Experience with the full SDLC lifecycle.
- Preparation of status reports with RAG, highlighting risks and mitigations and maintaining RAID logs.
