Overview
The Amazon Web Services Professional Services (ProServe) team is seeking a highly skilled and versatile Engagement Manager (EM) to lead the delivery of complex cloud solution projects. In this role you will combine technical expertise with strong project leadership skills to drive successful implementations of AWS‑based solutions for our clients, ensuring alignment with customer outcomes while applying AWS frameworks such as Well‑Architected and Cloud Adoption Framework.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage complex cloud migration and transformation programmes from inception to completion.
- Ensure successful delivery of programme outcomes within agreed time frames, budgets, and quality parameters.
- Develop and execute programme‑level strategic planning and adjust strategies as necessary to meet evolving business objectives.
- Build and maintain strong stakeholder relationships across customers, partners, and internal teams at all levels.
- Chair executive‑level meetings, drive key decisions, and resolve programme‑level risks and issues with appropriate escalation paths.
- Establish robust programme structure, governance model, and communication plan.
- Lead a multidisciplinary team of project managers and technical specialists.
- Ensure compliance with security, regulatory, and governance requirements across all programme work‑streams.
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, a related field, or equivalent experience.
- Experience conveying complex technical concepts to both technical and business audiences.
- Experience coordinating and leading large‑scale Digital or Global IT Transformation initiatives.
- Experience leading engagements using industry‑standard program management techniques, including Agile at scale delivery frameworks and project management toolsets.
- Experience with cloud computing.
- Experience developing customer‑facing presentations.
Preferred Qualifications
- AWS experience preferred.
- Project Management Professional (PMP) and/or AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Associate.
- Strong understanding of AWS services, architectures, and best practices.
- Experience applying AWS frameworks such as Well‑Architected and Cloud Adoption Framework.
- Proven ability to establish technical credibility with engineering teams and senior technical decision‑makers.
Eligibility for Security Clearance
Eligibility for UK Government Security Clearance is required for this role.
