Responsibilities

  • Interpret mid to long-term product and business strategies from Japan Headquarters and cascade them into actionable regional product plans for Southeast Asia region
  • Analyze market conditions and explore new industry sectors to grow the business
  • Define and promote regional standards for product planning processes, SKU structures, and launch calendars across Southeast Asia Region
  • Work closely with internal sales and marketing teams to develop strategies to achieve targets and ensure profitability of the division
  • Keep abreast of market development and consumer preferences and provide feedback to Japan Headquarters for R&D purposes
  • Prepare and summaries regional performance monthly reports for reporting to local Management and Japan Headquarters
  • Disseminate information from Japan Headquarters to regional offices and ensure consistency in communication and execution

Requirements

  • Minimum Degree in Business Administration, Sales & Marketing or related field
  • At least 5 years of relevant work experiences in Japanese MNCs in similar role, acting as liaison between Japanese Headquarters and its overseas subsidiaries
  • More than 5 years of experience in merchandise planning, demand planning, inventory control and related roles on a regional scale
  • Good knowledge of wholesale and retail industries for timepieces or lifestyle products and business protocols
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to translate data into actionable insights
  • Proficient in Japanese language (JLPT N1) necessary to perform translation of Japanese documents for management reporting and facilitating communication between Japan and English-speaking subsidiaries on day to day basis
  • Good business acumen and strong leadership skills
  • Strong project management skills
