About the role
We are offering a part‑time position working 9 hours per week within the Universal Offer – Hillingdon Youth Offer. The role runs throughout the year across the whole of Hillingdon borough and includes evening, afternoon, weekend shifts and occasional residential work. Salary is pro‑rated.
The Universal Team works with children and young people to deliver high quality, consistent youth work through locality‑based, detached, outreach and specialist programmes in collaboration with statutory, community and voluntary partners. These posts will be placed within our Detached and Outreach Team to support the expansion of our Universal Offer.
About You
The successful candidate will be committed to taking a positive, holistic and empowering approach to service delivery. They will have demonstrable experience and competence in working with children and young people within formal or informal education or community settings. They will possess an excellent understanding of issues that face children and young people today, a creative and dynamic approach, and be able to engage with hard‑to‑reach and vulnerable groups.
There is no specific qualification required for this role, and training will be part of induction. A willingness to learn and a commitment to supporting children and young people is essential.

- Be passionate about working with children and young people
- Be confident in planning, delivering, and evaluating interventions
- Have strong communication, listening, and organisational skills
