About the Opportunity

We are recruiting an experienced Project Manager (Civils) for our Nuclear Power Engineering and Technical Services team, supporting EDF Energy Nuclear Generation with their nuclear fleet in the UK.

Your role will be based at the EDF Sizewell B Power Station, where you will lead project delivery within a highly regulated environment, reporting to the business Operations Manager and being accountable to the client Project Manager, Programme Manager, and/or Construction Manager.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Accountable to the client PPM for the successful delivery of assigned projects, setting the project execution strategy and leading a cross‑functional team.
  • Delivering projects safely in line with company policies and procedures, achieving established goals and objectives within the agreed baseline.
  • Managing project delivery without direct reports, at the EDF Sizewell B Power Station, with occasional travel to other UK sites.
  • Ensuring compliance with high safety standards, security culture, and proven track record in regulated environments.
  • Demonstrating strong communication, organisational and results‑focused, team‑centred approach.

Qualifications

  • Degree educated, ideally in engineering or a related subject, with preferred chartership.
  • APMP formal project management qualification or equivalent; versed in modern project‑management techniques within complex, multi‑functional organisations.
  • Understanding of Safety Cases, relevant Health and Safety and Environment legislation (including CDM) and ability to achieve compliance.
  • Knowledge of quality assurance, commercial, contractual, and financial project drivers.
  • Experience managing projects throughout the full life‑cycle, across complex multi‑discipline projects, and leading integrated project teams.
  • Experience in estimating, cost control, planning, commercial awareness, and preparing business cases and funding papers.
  • Proficiency in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, estimating, scheduling, programming, risk tools, and Earned Value tools, with analytical problem‑solving ability.
  • Experience working at Power Stations and Nuclear Licensed Sites is preferred but not essential.
