At RAAS we provide a nurturing environment that prepares students for life with hope, optimism, compassion and empathy. Our flexible boarding community includes around 400 full boarders and local flexi‑boarders, all actively involved in a wide range of after‑school and weekend activities and trips.
Our Ofsted inspection of March 2024 states "pupils are happy and well cared for at Royal Alexandra and Albert School. They benefit from positive relationships with staff across the school. Pupils feel safe, confident that if they report any concerns or worries they will be dealt with".

- Beautiful estate set in 260 acres of parkland
- Convenient location, close to the A23 and M25

Role
We are looking for a safeguarding practitioner to join our Safeguarding team at a pivotal time. The role requires a proactive mindset that safeguarding is everyone’s responsibility and that "it could and does happen here."

- Co‑ordinate with 14 Deputy DSLs to maintain a culture of vigilance.
- Work collaboratively with Counsellors, health centre staff, the Pastoral team, and SENCo in the safeguarding hub.
- Tri‑age incoming concerns and strategically allocate CPOMS referrals to the appropriate Deputy DSLs.
Qualifications
We are seeking a candidate who:
- Has a solid foundation in safeguarding principles and practice.
- Demonstrates strong communication and coordination skills in a large team environment.
- Can document and report accurately in an evidence‑based, child‑centred manner.
- Is committed to fostering a culture of safety across both boarding and day provision.
