What will you be working on?

• Design, develop, and maintain highly scalable services.
• Architect, design and optimise relational databases for performance and scalability.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to support partner integrations and expand the Wise payment platform globally.
• Participate in code reviews, champion best coding practices, and mentor junior engineers.

Qualifications

• Experience with Java 8+ and Spring framework.
• Knowledge of microservices architecture and event‑driven design.
• Hands‑on experience with Kafka or similar messaging systems (plus).
• Strong knowledge of relational databases, design schemas, optimisation, and data integrity.
• Proficiency in domain‑driven design (DDD) to model complex business domains (plus).
• Strong product mindset, passion for user experience, prioritise work around customers, and make data‑driven decisions.
• Excellent problem‑solving skills and ability to work independently or collaboratively.
• Strong communication skills to convey technical concepts to technical and non‑technical audiences.
