This 6 month fixed-term role sits within the Enterprise & Operational Risk team and focuses on building and embedding the new Group Enterprise Risk Management Framework while the ARCHER GRC tool continues to be developed. The role is centred on harmonising risk management practices across the Group and translating the ERMF into clear, practical guidance that supports consistent application by first line teams.

The role holder will provide hands‑on support and guidance on Risk and Control Self‑Assessments, helping teams understand expectations and apply them effectively in practice. They will ensure RCSA assessments accurately reflect the risks faced by the Group, influencing appropriate action where necessary both in RCSAs and existing guidance. This will also include supporting the implementation of the Group’s Provision 29 approach, including testing strategy. A key part of the role is managing stakeholders across the business both in 1:1 sessions and in running explain and education sessions to build understanding and capability across the business.

Location

We operate on a team‑led hybrid approach at least once a month in the Coventry & or Manchester office.

About you

For this role you’ll need to have:

  • In-depth knowledge of enterprise and operational risk management principles, including the regulatory environment, risk management strategies, policies and frameworks
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to build effective working relationships with key stakeholders
  • Well‑developed interpersonal, analytical, planning and organisational skills
  • High attention to detail and accuracy
  • Relevant experience working within a risk or related function

Experience in these areas would be helpful:

  • Professional qualification in risk or a related discipline
