Are you a strong credit controller, looking to join a fantastic team on a part‑time basis? Beyond Talent is supporting a business in recruiting a proactive and reliable Credit Controller / Accounts Assistant. This part‑time role (30 hours per week) offers a blend of credit control and wider accounts & finance responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities

Credit Control (Primary Focus)

  • Chasing overdue invoices via phone and email
  • Building strong relationships with customers to ensure prompt payment
  • Resolving payment queries and disputes
  • Maintaining accurate debtor records
  • Producing aged debt reports
  • Setting and reviewing credit limits
  • Working with credit insurance providers
  • Escalating problem accounts where necessary
  • Reducing aged debt and improving cash flow

Accounts Assistant Duties

  • Posting sales invoices
  • Posting customer payments
  • Bank reconciliations
  • Assisting with purchase ledger when required
  • Supporting month‑end processesGeneral accounts administration
  • Assisting finance team with ad‑hoc tasks

Essential Requirements

  • Previous credit control experience
  • Strong Excel skills, including VLOOKUP and Pivot Tables
  • Experience managing aged debt
  • Experience dealing with credit insurance
  • Strong communication skills
  • Good organisational abilities
  • Proactive attitude

Desirable Attributes

  • Experience using accounting software such as Sage, Xero, or QuickBooks
  • Previous Accounts Assistant experience
  • Familiarity with working in an SME environment
