We are looking for a Team Manager to join our Civil Parking Enforcement Service within the Traffic Management Group. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong people‑management skills, whether gained in retail, manufacturing, local government, or any other team‑focused environment. If you can lead, support and motivate a frontline team, we want to hear from you.
Responsibilities
- Support and coach staff using established training and development tools
- Use feedback from customers and colleagues to identify and drive service improvements
- Communicate confidently with the public and stakeholders
- Manage competing priorities in a fast‑paced operational environment
- Allocate resources where they are most needed to ensure safe and efficient movement of traffic
- Your team will deliver high‑quality parking enforcement in line with County Policy and the Traffic Management Act 2004, supporting road safety, compliance, and traffic flow. The service also provides off‑street enforcement for both internal and third‑party clients.
We are continually exploring new ways to improve efficiency and meet the needs of our communities, and you will play a key role in helping shape these developments.
Qualifications
- A confident and supportive people manager
- Skilled in motivating and developing staff
- Able to communicate clearly and professionally
- Comfortable making decisions and managing operational challenges
- Positive, proactive, and committed to delivering excellent public service
- Able to drive with a full UK driving licence
- A working knowledge of relevant legislation, guidance, and emerging technology is desirable, but strong leadership and people‑management skills are essential.
