Job Overview
To collate and prepare the Statutory Accounts and schedules for Northern Lincolnshire and Goole NHS Foundation Trust and the Trust's Charitable Funds, ensuring they are completed to the required standards within allocated timescales. Develop, monitor and report on cash‑resource methodologies in line with the Trust's Treasury Management Policy and Cash Management Strategy. Actively manage the balance sheet to maximise benefits, ensuring robust internal control and adherence to best practice accounting standards. Provide support to the Assistant Director of Finance and the accounting team in preparing complex, detailed and high‑quality cash and financial accounts and reports related to new developments, acquisitions, mergers and joint venture arrangements.
Key Responsibilities
- Compile and finalize Statutory Accounts and schedules for the Trust and its Charitable Funds.
- Develop and implement cash‑resource methodologies per Treasury Management Policy and Cash Management Strategy.
- Actively manage the balance sheet, ensuring internal controls and accounting best practices.
- Support the Assistant Director of Finance and the accounting team with detailed financial reports for new developments, acquisitions, mergers and joint venture arrangements.
Person Specification
- Education: CCAB qualified with at least 2 years post‑qualification experience, or equivalent level of experience.
- Desirable: Postgraduate management qualification.
- Knowledge: Knowledge of financial accounting standards.
- Appropriate UK professional registration.
