The hours of work are 9am – 5.00pm Monday to Friday and as we have bases in Barrow and Kendal, successful candidate will be expected to travel to different locations across the South Cumbria locality.
Responsibilities
The post holder will utilise CYMPH core skills to undertake Triage calls, comprehensive mental health assessments, formulations and risk assessments, as well as co-producing achievable goals alongside children/young people and their families. Evidence based therapeutic interventions will be utilised to support children and families experiencing difficulties relating to complex mental health. This is envisaged to sit within the ‘Getting More Help’ domain of the THRIVE Model.
They will work with the MDT to develop the formulation of the child/young person and family’s needs and support the development of a care plan based upon the child/young person and family’s negotiated goals and relevant evidence based interventions. This will be under clinical supervision from a more senior clinical psychology practitioner.
As part of an integrated CYMPH service, promote robust community partnership working arrangements alongside other key stakeholders in order to deliver integrated care.
Qualifications and Experience
Experience of working with children and young people with mental health difficulties is essential. The role will focus on undertaking Triage calls, comprehensive mental health assessments, formulations and risk assessments as well as carrying out evidence based therapeutic interventions to support children and families experiencing difficulties relating to complex mental health needs.
