Band 6 Nuclear Medicine Technologist/Radiographer (2 posts) – Permanent
We are looking for two Nuclear Medicine Technologist/Radiographers to join our friendly team based at Ninewells Hospital in Dundee. The selected candidates will be directly involved in the Nuclear Medicine service based at Ninewells Hospital with rotation to the PET/CT service within the Clinical Research Centre in Ninewells Hospital. The facility includes 3 SPECT/CT gamma cameras and a dedicated on-site Radiopharmacy and Laboratory where a range of diagnostic and therapeutic procedures are undertaken. The post is suitable for an experienced Nuclear Medicine Technologist or Radiographer with expertise in CT and an interest in Nuclear Medicine; previous experience working in Nuclear Medicine is essential.
Responsibilities
You will support the delivery of nuclear medicine services across the hospital, including the use of SPECT/CT gamma cameras, patient preparation, image acquisition and quality control, as well as participation in diagnostic and therapeutic procedures within the on‑site radiopharmacy and laboratory. You will also rotate to the PET/CT service at the Clinical Research Centre as required.
Qualifications
- Experience in Nuclear Medicine or Radiography, with expertise in CT imaging
- Registration with the Health Care Professions Council (HCPC) or the Register of Clinical Technologists (RCT)
- Pre‑existing experience in Nuclear Medicine is essential
Hours of work
36 hours spread over Monday to Friday.
