Job Summary
Advanced Clinical Pharmacist and Teacher Practitioner – key role in providing advanced clinical pharmacy services and leading undergraduate teaching at Liverpool John Moore's University.
Responsibilities
- Assist the Lead Clinical Pharmacist – Education & Training to deliver high‑level teaching to MPharm undergraduates.
- Provide and coordinate pharmacy undergraduate clinical teaching across the Trust and at Liverpool John Moores University.
- Maintain clinical pharmacy skills and undertake care group responsibilities.
- Assist the Lead Divisional Pharmacist (Medicine) in providing clinical training and supervision within the medicine division.
- Provide non‑medical prescribing services to medical patients.
- Identify the clinical and economic impact of medicines use, develop and implement clinical guidelines, monitor drug expenditure and support meeting clinical and financial targets.
- Participate in consultant ward rounds and multidisciplinary meetings relevant to designated wards or directorates.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Excellent clinical pharmacy knowledge.
- Confidence and experience in teaching.
- Registered pharmacist with ability to become a non‑medical prescriber (once qualified).
- Experience within a medical hospital setting and ability to work cross‑professionally.
- Strong organisational and leadership skills.
