Due to an exciting redesign of our clinical pharmacy service we have an opportunity for enthusiastic pharmacists to come and join our growing team!
Prior experience in cancer care is not required as you will be fully supported and trained by our friendly, dedicated team; you do require a thirst to learn and a passion to deliver patient centered care.
Clatterbridge is an exciting place to continue your clinical pharmacy journey in a purpose built city centre hospital in Liverpool with state of the art facilities, working within a cutting edge clinical environment. This role represents an opportunity to develop and further progress in the rewarding specialty that is cancer care. The successful candidates will also receive mentoring and support to grow as a leader.
Clatterbridge Cancer Centre provides excellent cancer care to patients across the North West (including North Wales and the Isle of Man). We have 3 site locations; the central Liverpool site and hub sites in the Wirral and Aintree.
Working pattern will be 37.5 hours per week which includes weekends. Contribution to the Bank holiday and on-call rota will be part of the post.
Main duties of the job
In this role you will work alongside pharmacists, technicians and assistants Aseptic Production Unit, quality assessing and releasing chemotherapy and supporting to the quality management system. This role will also provide clinical support to the nutrition multi disciplinary team processing inpatient parenteral nutrition prescriptions. You will be an integral part of our aseptic services team as well as the wider pharmacy team.
You will also have the opportunity to rotate through clinical oncology and haemato-oncology areas and clinical trials.
