About the Role
AWS is seeking a world-class sales professional to manage our manufacturing customers within the UK region. The AWS AGS team is committed to helping industry customers enable their digital transformation journeys. Our primary goal is to meet customers in their cloud journeys and work backwards from their industry-specific needs to transform their businesses and industries. We focus on business outcomes and industry use cases on behalf of our customers, whether that is how we build products and solutions, how we sell, how we deliver, or how we partner.
Responsibilities
The Principal Account Manager will provide business leadership and manage a select number of accounts. You will build and maintain key relationships, develop and manage opportunities, monitor deployment projects, and engage resources. You will define a CXO relationship strategy within the accounts, including engaging with AWS senior leadership for executive sponsorships, coordinating executive business reviews, and maintaining customer satisfaction. You will team with the customer’s IT organization to build strategic relationships across the account, articulate a clear vision and generate enthusiasm, impacting all business groups. You will sell at the most strategic level within the account and implement a broad strategy for earning customer acceptance and service implementation. You will work with all appropriate AWS resources (executives, solution architects, business development, marketing, partners, support, service teams, and professional services) to support customer interests.
About The Team
AWS Manufacturing & Logistics Team drives revenue, adoption, and growth from the largest and fastest growing enterprise-level customers in the sector, which includes a mix of process and discrete manufacturers.
Basic Qualifications
- Experience as a quota-carrying technology field sales professional with a proven track record of success selling complex cloud solutions to large enterprises within Financial Services
- Experience in a client-facing consultative role working with large, complex enterprise customers
- Experience delivering results and generating transformational growth
- Experience identifying, developing, negotiating, and closing large-scale technology deals
- Experience selling cloud solutions at a software company or equivalent
- Experience delivering technology products or services in a high-growth environment
- Experience with presentations and speaking with executives, IT, management, and developers
- Experience identifying, developing, negotiating, and closing large-scale technology projects for global customers
Preferred Qualifications
- Knowledge of cloud computing technologies
- Experience in technology-related sales, business development, or sales engineering/consulting
- Bachelor's degree or Bachelor of Arts degree
- Experience with technology transformation initiatives
- Knowledge of cloud computing services or deployment architecture
- Experience in technology/software sales, pre-sales, or consulting
