M&E Project Lead

Seeking a highly skilled Mechanical & Electrical Project Lead to oversee the delivery of a major £40M Government led project in Newcastle upon Tyne. Working with a large M&E contractor, this role offers the chance to take a pivotal position, leading from the front and working closely with the client.

Responsibilities

• Lead and attend client meetings, acting as the primary M&E point of contact.
• Review, monitor, and manage budgets across each project stage.
• Oversee design changes, ensuring these are communicated effectively to engineers and site project management.
• Coordinate both Mechanical and Electrical, ensuring the programme is adhered to and all H&S risks are managed.
• Work closely with internal teams, subcontractors, and stakeholders to drive successful project delivery.
• Ensure compliance is up to date, with all relevant health and safety documentation in place and all regulations adhered to.

Qualifications

• Can be either Mechanical or Electrical biased, with a strong knowledge of the other discipline.
• Proven experience managing large scale/value M&E projects.
• Strong commercial awareness with the ability to manage budgets effectively.
• Excellent communication skills, able to confidently lead meetings and liaise with clients, engineers, and project teams.
• Strong organisational and leadership skills, with the ability to manage complex programmes.
